UPDATE: 11/3/09 well it is me again to tell you of my newest adventures...in the life of Dakota I have traveled hundreds of miles trying to find the perfect home and still I am in KY and I have not found the perfect one yet. This is my wish list: you to take me every place you go or just to sit with me and hold me tight or cuddle with me on the couch watching TV, a warm and loving family that will take good care of me. See to it that I am loved, safe, and happy. I love treats, walks, playing with my tennis balls. I am very smart and learn fast. My foster mom has taught me new things and I am ready for more. I may not be able to see you or hear you but I know when you are around I feel your vibrations from you walking. I can smell you too and I will always remember you. My nose is up taking in all the aromas of every place I go. I love riding in the car, I fall asleep until you wake me to get out and go potty. I have learned what a crate is and do pretty good in one. I love kids and get along with everyone else just fine. I do talk a lot since I can't see or hear but I love to chat sometimes I will tell you I can get loud but if you just tell me I will  calm down. I get really excited when you pet me under my chin and tell me I am a good boy. I can teach you a lot if you just give me a chance.


UPDATE - 9/15/09 well let me tell you that I have been a very busy dog enjoying life. Ie you are a radio listener my foster mom told me that I am featured on 55krc under the dog blog (whatever that is) You can see my updated pictures - so I am a celebrity! How about that.  I have also gone to the water park check my pictures out of me in the water. It was fun and I sure was tired when I got home. You can see by one of the pictures of me and my new friend.

UPDATE!!!! 9/8 Well I am here and having a ball....please check out my video of me playing ball in my foster moms yard. I like it here. I came in and was right at home. I am still getting used to more steps than I was used to at my other home but 2 more isn't that many to remember. I love to snuggle in bed with my foster mom and all the other dogs there. If you are interested in adopting a little guy who needs special care meaning more patience and love and understanding than most then please come and meet me.


Hi there this is Dakota! I am new into rescue actually I have not arrived at my foster moms house yet but due to come in on September 4th. I am a special dog and will need a special family to adopt me. I am not only blind but deaf as well. I love playing ball and love other dogs and want to be with you all the time. I will require some special handling since it takes me a little longer to get to know the lay of the house and the yard but I am smart and will learn where things are quickly.
