Hi my name is Barney; I am approximately a 2 year old neutered male English setter/ Beagle mix. I enjoy meeting and being with people, especially children. I love to be with you, and if you are busy I am content to just lie down and watch you while you work. I get along with dogs who get along with me, and I enjoy playing with humans and dogs. I would love to find a wonderful family who will devote their life and love to me the same way I will with them. Barney has successfully completed an intensive 7 week obedience training course ! He will have a wonderful foundation set in place with his training, which his new family can continue to build on through continued training, with positive re-enforcement, repetition, and guidance. We do require personal and vet references and a home visit for any of our adoptable dogs. As we are a volunteer group we cannot return long distance phone calls, so we ask that you e-mail us. We appreciate your cooperation in this matter. Barney is an absolute delight. He is a very eager, happy dog. He always has a smile on his face. His greatest love is to please the person he is with. As he has not had much human interaction in his short life, he is basking in the attention he is getting. He is a dog who devotes himself heart and soul to the person he is with. Barney is quick to learn, and delights in receiving praise for a job well done.
