Bentley is a 5 yo West Highland Terrier who came into rescue hoping for a life with a little more sunshine and quality time with family. He has lived most of his life in a basement because he never quite learned how to wait to go to the bathroom outside; and his family didn't have a lot of time to teach him. From the moment I met him, I knew he was a remarkable boy. He just looks at you and you know that he is a wise and gentle boy who asks for very little but sure can give alot. He is starting to sparkle - just needed a new hair do - went to the groomer and got his matted hair shaved off and is now sporting quite a handsome look. He lays in the grass and loves the feel of it on his belly. He runs to you when called, walks well on leash, is very calm around cats and other dogs, and only cries a little while when left alone in his crate. He will then lay down and wait for the next visit. He also seems great with little children - lets them approach and pet him and takes treats easily. just a gentle boy. He will be neutered on June 23rd, recuperate in foster care and continue his housebreaking and leash work. He should be ready for adoption in July and will only go to a home who can continue his training and make sure he has ample time to run and play and get daily walks and lots of pets.
