Tash is a beautiful older girl who got lost and was picked up by animal control and taken to a county shelter. She is now in foster care and doing very well. She is in great condition and has a chocolate undertone to her coat. The vet wasn't sure on her age; maybe about 8 or so. She seems to take her time but loves to be with people. She is great on leash, gentle around children, and already follows me when I drop the leash. her biggest challenge is that shepherd possessiveness; she has corrected one of the other dogs who came up to get pets when she was next to me. She is currently in an outside run for her training. Only in a crate a couple of times and seemed confused about the crate. would lay down after a short time. Too early to bring indoors as don't want her to get over attached to foster mom. You can hear her howling in the early morning and late evening at times. She is pacing her eating; and is a little on the thin side. She will walk nicely and then lay down a few feet from you. She respects human space. I believe she would do best in a home that can respect her need to have a lesser paced life, not alot of activity but nice walks and quality time with family. Would prefer to have no other dogs due to her possessive nature. best if you know the breed and how to handle her neediness. She does best with a firm and gentle hand and will greet you with the best tail wagging ever.
