Sammy originally was rescued from a puppy mill and was then adopted last January by a family with children. He has always been shy and somewhat anxious with the need to develop more confidence as he learns to trust humans. Unfortunately, the adoptive family had limited time to work with him and felt that it was in his best interest to return him to the rescue. He is good on leash, comfortable in his crate but will bark at times - not sure of the trigger. He is not aggressive but is nervous with touch and backs away. he will eat out of my hand and is showing progress in just 2 weeks. I believe that given a devoted human/family, who will take time with him and instill trust and confidence, he will be a pleasure and faithful companion. He needs structure, time for activity and time for rest, and he needs someone who is willing to learn some techniques that will slowly decrease his nervous, insecure behaviors. ROSA'S will work with the family who is willing to give this boy a loving, forever home.
