Roxy need to be in home with adults only. she will get needy at times and growl and get pushy to get her way, be with her human, especially if alone alot during the day. she needs to have space and time to bond with someone. don't know how she will act in a home with children; may still be missing her original family too much.
9.9.16 update - return to vet for another skin infection. bad season with bugs outside nipping her skin. good at vets, with all the people and the dogs. her biggest issue.
Roxy is a 7 yo female who entered rescue when her family needed to move and could not take her with them. She was in a family with two very young children and tolerated them in her space. no evidence of any aggression. She is a bit chubby but a very pretty girl. already eating less. mild skin issues which are being addressed with diet change and is on antibiotics for an ear infection. She can be stubborn at times and does not llike crates. is tolerating an exercise pen but has been known to growl to challenge her human foster mom making her do something she does not prefer :) - likes to make her own decisions. so far, good on leash, house broke, allowed strangers in her space at the vet. I believe her to be a stable girl who is a bit unhappy and confused with the sudden changes in her life. had been with the family since she was a puppy. I anticipate her weight to lessen with exercise and regulated healthy diet. She is very likeable and a beautiful girl. She seems to prefer men and would love a new guy to bond with. I believe she will be a faithful companion given a stable environment with a caring human.
